Mount Magnet is serviced by The Mount Magnet Health Centre which is open Mon – Fri, 8am – 4pm and is staffed by Registered nurses who provide primary and emergency care. The Nursing Post has linkages to Emergency Telehealth Service and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. This facility is unattended after hours.

LEMC (Local Emergency Management Committee)
The committee is a made up of representatives of the Council, Emergency Services, allied Organisations and the Community.
The Committee meets regularly to discuss and implement emergency management arrangements. The Mount Magnet LEMC exists to advise and assist the Local Government to ensure effective and tested arrangements are in place and/or developed, maintained and reviewed, with an emphasis on the proper management of the recovery phases of an emergency.
